How do I merge a prospect into another prospect or resident?

If you inadvertently add a prospect that is already in Vitals you can merge that prospect into another prospect or resident. (The other option is to simply inactivate the duplicate. You would choose to merge when you want information to be included on the remaining prospect/resident)

The steps to merge prospects (or prospect/resident) are:

1. Access the profile of the prospect that you want to inactivate, click Merge With Another Prospect/Resident

Note: Select the prospect that does not have reservation, wait list or assessment in this first step because this information will not flow to the 2nd prospect.

2. Click Merge With prospect or resident name

3. Or, if the name is not correct enter the first or last name of the prospect/resident, click Search

4. Or, locate the account number of the prospect and enter that in the Contact ID field, click search

5. Click OK

6. Click OK

7. The prospect selected in step 1 is now an inactive prospect.

8. The prospect that is still active has all the activities except initial inquiry from the inactive prospect.
